Welcome to a day spent reconnecting with nature!
We will spend a day in nature together, anchored at the gorgeous SpiritWood Retreat , just south of Calgary in the gentle, rolling hills of Priddis, Alberta. Take a glorious day to yourself – &/or bring a friend to learn how to forage wild dandelions in the woods surrounding the retreat.
Enjoy the silence of the forest as you “bathe” in the sound of the creek lolling beside you as you search for the delicious and nourishing wild greens untouched by any chemicals. Listen to the birds and insects, as you dig around in the dirt for the best roots to add to your yield.
We will then teach you how to properly clean & wash your wilds for edibles once you take your harvest home.

* Please bring your favourite garden gloves; a sun hat & sun screen; wear long pants to avoid thrush scrapes in the natural woods
* If you have a favourite harvest knife &/or sheers, please bring them
* Please bring a yoga or Pilates mat &/or blanket
* Remember to dress according to the weather w/ proper footwear
* Times are relatively flexible throughout the day – we won’t stick to a rigid schedule, except for the start and finish
* All food provided is Vegan & Gluten-free ~ if you require more food throughout the day, please feel free to bring your own picnic lunch
Finally, we will begin and end the day with a gentle stretch to limber up and express gratitude for the remarkable beauty and goodness of our gathering.
A light breakfast will be offered, as well as coffee & tea throughout the day. A light snack of fruit will also be provided, along with relevant utensils for your harvesting.
